PRIORITIES
PUBLIC SAFETY
As a retired Orange County Sheriff Reserve Lieutenant and continued Public Service Representative, I have years of experience working alongside the Cypress Police Department to create a safe community. I plan to bolster police and fire resources, and support a compassionate but effective approach to policing.
FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY
As a business owner and former VP of a fortune 500 company, I have experience making prudent, ethical financial decisions on a large scale. During my time as the President of our Tanglewood HOA, I have led the effort for high quality facilities, playgrounds, and landscaping while maintaining low HOA fees. That’s the combination I want to deliver city-wide for Cypress residents.
I am committed to budget transparency and being on track to pay off the city’s unfunded pension liability by the end of the decade.
COMMUNITY BUILDING
I have worked to improve quality of life in our community by organizing Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) meetings, participating in Make-A-Wish events, serving as a Cypress Traffic Commissioner, spcaLA volunteer, and mentor to student-athletes.
But I want to help create new opportunities for residents to get involved and serve. As your representative, I will actively find ways to bring your perspective into our city government.
RESPONSIBLE DEVELOPMENT
Our city has much to be proud of, but we also face some important challenges in complying with state housing mandates. As your representative, I will prioritize the needs of Cypress families and residents over developers’ desires. I will work to protect open spaces and use my expertise as a former Traffic Commissioner to minimize traffic generated by any new building.
With over 40 years of professional experience managing real estate development and ensuring compliance with regulatory oversight, I can help guide the decisions our city will need to make in the upcoming years.
TRANSPARENCY AND ACCOUNTABILITY
Cypress residents deserve elected officials who are transparent, accountable, and who work in the spirit of true collaboration. In recent years our city council’s reputation has suffered due to hostility, partisanship, and a lack of civility. I pledge to focus on the issues that matter to residents, and work collaboratively with my colleagues, regardless of party affiliation.
